History

Our founders took part in the Hands across America initiative – out of that participation grew their interest in seeking concrete ways to address the enduring poverty of our state. In 1989, members of the New Mexico Conference of Churches founded the New Mexico Community Development Loan Fund. We made our first loan in 1990.
