Ron and Anna Morse came from behind to build a successful, award-winning business. When Ron had a serious auto accident, he was unable to work for several years. With Anna’s help, he fully recovered and together they planned Fine Line Design, a custom manufacturer and installer of everything from crown molding to custom cabinets and entertainment centers for high-production homebuilders.
Getting financing turned out to be a bit of a challenge. Like so many entrepreneurs, the Morses found that coming up with the idea was just the beginning. So they turned to the Dona Ana County Community College Small Business Development Center (DACC SBDC) for help. The SBDC referred them to The Loan Fund, where we quickly reviewed their needs and wrote the loan.
Today, Ron and Anna employ 24 people, and are planning to expand outside of the state. Their hard work and initiative was recognized by the DACC SBDC, headed by Fred Owensby, as one of its Clients of the Year for 2007. We expect this won’t be the last award for Ron and Anna as they continue to grow their company and create jobs.
