The New Mexico Small Business Development Center (NMSBDC) has kicked off a series of bilingual workshops for Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs.
Dr. Marvin Lozano, author of “The U.S.-Latino Entrepreneur’s Guide to Balancing Business, Family and Culture,” and his wife, Dr. Miquela C. Rivera, are teaming up on some of the workshops to offer tips on how to keep a business safe and healthy during COVID-19. They will also offer tips to aid business owners in preparing for future major events.
Lozano, a Central New Mexico College business professor, is a small business consultant and a lending officer with The Loan Fund. Lozano and his wife, a clinical psychologist, co-authored the book to help explain how Latino family life and their core values align with business.
The next workshop, “Los efectos de COVID-19 en la salud mental,” a discussion on COVID-19 and mental health, is at 9 am April 28, 2022. All workshops are free and will be available on demand on the NMSBC website or on its YouTube channel.
